Unimke was suspended over allegation of involvement in secret cult associated actions.
The Vice Chancellor of the Univesity of Calabar, UNICAL, Prof. Zana Akpagu authorised the fast suspension of the scholar who was within the Division of Training Administration and Planning from all tutorial actions within the College till additional discover.

Mr Abang directed that the scholar will stay suspended pending the conclusion of investigation by the Establishment’s College students’ Disciplinary Committee.
